Chad & Amy: Wedding

This was a really fun wedding for me.  You might remember Kelly & Kyle’s wedding from last year.  Well, this year Kelly’s brother, Chad, got married to Amy, his long-time, high-school sweetheart.   If you remember, Kelly and I have been friends since high school, so I, of course, have known Amy and Chad for many years.  In fact, a lot of the people at the wedding were people I went to high school with or their parents.   It was like a mini-reunion.   It was a lot of fun!

I love Amy’s sense of humor. Chad and her had dated for quite a few years.  This was one of the favors:

The weather didn’t really cooperate BUT Amy and Chad had planned the day so that they could be flexible with the time that the ceremony started.  We saw a break in the storm and rushed the guests outside for the ceremony.    It sprinkled a little but cleared up for the majority of the ceremony.    A HUGE thanks to the Arters for helping me keep my equipment safe from the storm and for helping with some of the pictures! 

Amy, by the way, was an amazingly calm bride.  She took the day and the weather in stride.  We took a lot of the pictures on her parent’s porch while we waited for the storm to break.

Even though the weather didn’t really cooperate, it turned into a beautiful evening.  The light and the sky were spectactular.

Amy’s mom made the bridesmaids dresses. They were SO cute.

I love this picture.   Have I said how beautiful the sky and lighting were?
